Liz has experience working with adults experiencing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, trauma, substance use disorders, grief, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges.
Her therapeutic approach is person-centered and collaborative. She draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and narrative therapy.
Liz also offers Written Exposure Therapy (WET), one of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ recommended treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In this brief, highly effective behavioral psychotherapy, clients write about their trauma in a structured framework that helps process memories, reduce distress, and can lead to lasting relief.
Her previous careers in media and public health, along with her experience as a health writer, inform her work with clients. These experiences bring a broad perspective and deep appreciation for the stories people carry, as well as the many ways people make meaning of their lives.
Liz believes that within the supportive and structured environment of therapy, people can develop greater insight, resilience, and confidence as they build meaningful lives aligned with their values.
