
As a clinical social worker, Kate integrates her background in sociology to inform a holistic, person-in-environment perspective in therapy. She employs strengths-based and client-centered approaches, collaborating closely with individuals to support goals such as reducing anxiety and stress, enhancing life satisfaction and resilience during significant life transitions, and fostering a greater sense of agency.
Kate works with adults across the lifespan, from college students to older adults. She has experience utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, exposure therapy, and existential therapy. She also incorporates metaphor and symbolism as meaningful tools in the therapeutic process.
