Julia loves to help clients explore the challenges they may be facing at this time and develop effective strategies that can make daily life easier. Julia views counseling as a wonderful bridge in helping clients work towards living lives with more contentment, ease, and intentionality. She aims to provide a safe counseling environment that is focused on sharing warmth, humor, authenticity, deep listening, and empathy with others. Julia deeply believes in the potential that each of us has to make meaningful changes and work towards that which feels important to us. She believes that moving towards our values and beliefs can help us live more meaningful lives. Julia uses many counseling interventions such as psychotherapy, CBT, mindfulness, DBT, family systems, motivational interviewing and somatic work. Most importantly counseling is a collaborative process where the client and counselor work together. Julia feels deeply privileged to help clients on their journey toward wellness. She sees clients who are 18+ years old in person/telehealth and who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions including recovery from addictions, the processing of loss and grief, relationship issues as well as some food relationship issues including emotional dependency.
