
Nerissa’s professional interests focus on clinical mental health counseling, addiction treatment, and counselor education. She specializes in working with individuals experiencing complex and co-occurring concerns, including substance use disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related presentations, chronic suicidality, and personality disorders. Nerissa is particularly drawn to work with treatment-resistant and high-acuity presentations, where careful assessment, evidence-based interventions, and thoughtful clinical judgment are essential. She is also passionate about group therapy and serves as the Groups Clinical Coordinator for Counseling Associates.
