Are you having trouble understanding why it is so hard to achieve or maintain sobriety? The co-occurrence of trauma, unsafe behaviors or dangerous relationships may be contributing to these challenges. Seeking Safety first evidence-based program using to simultaneously treat both substance use and trauma. Using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapies, participants will gain a better understanding of the source(s) of emotional pain while learning more effective coping strategies to manage life’s challenges without substances. Participants will develop insight and self-compassion, greater awareness of the role of safety in their lives, and healthier responses to difficulties. Seeking Safety is an integrative treatment approach which is action-oriented with a multi-dimensional approach which prioritizes safety for folks who are motivated to learn more about how substance use and trauma affect each other in a supportive and compassionate environment.
